I chose to rebrand Persea Books, a publishing company based in New York. Their name stems from an ancient Egyptian legend about the tree of knowledge, hence the leaf-like symbol and primary green color. The new brand attributes are modern, bright, and clean.

Process

I began brainstorming word association and researched the name of the company and its origin. This led me in the direction of leaves and book imagery for the pictorial mark. I wanted a clean and solid mark that was slightly abstract, since literature and words are always up to interpretation.
