Sushi Restaurant

If I owned a restaurant, it would have lots of sushi. Think natural lighting, an abundance of green plants and bamboo furnishings.

Process

In contrast to a dark, moody Asian restaurant, I opted for a pastel, colorful palette to brighten the experience. I used a digital watercolor brush and experimented with circular shapes to create abstract sushi rolls. Then, once I was satisfied with the texture and style, I paired those with simple gold line drawings of chopsticks and bowls.

I used an ink and watercolor style to pay homage to traditional Japanese ink and watercolor techniques.
